History of the Adelphi Theatre

Even though there have been several structures of amusement built previously on the location where the new Adelphi Theatre will be constructed. With its deco painting interiors, the theatre has witnessed legendary actor Jessie Matthews perform here. The exterior of the parts of the Adelphi Theatre remains intact with its original style of architecture. It was in 1993 that Andrew Lloyd Webber opened his musical creation of Sunset Boulevard as he took over from co-ownership of the place.
