Savoy Theatre is one of the most famous theatres in London Westend. The Savoy Theatre is situated in Strand area in the City of Westminster. The theatre had its inauguration on 10th October 1881. It was built by Richard D’Oyly Carte in the location of Old Savoy Palace. It was basically built to perform the famous comedies of Gilbert and Sulivan. They are also famous as Savoy Operas.
The fascinating aspect of luxurious Savoy Theatre is that it was the first public structure in the world that had complete lighting through electricity. In 1889, the adjacent Savoy Hotel was constructed by Richard D’Oyly Carte near the theatre. For many years, Savoy theatre served as a residence for the company of D’Oyly Carte. In 1929, Rupert D’Oyly Carte, the son of Richard, reconstructed the Savoy theatre. He also gave it some modernization facilities. The theatre had undergone rebuilding after a fire and refurbishment works. The present seating capacity of the theatre is 1150 in three floors.

The Stalls seats give a perfect view of the action taking place on stage, whereas the Dress Circle gives a good combination of the level and elevation of the seats. In the Upper Circle there are affordable and clearly visible seats from the front.
